You can prepare a focused Levels class without reviewing the entire week’s video library. Use the curriculum card to narrow the job before you watch anything. The five-step workflow 1. Open the weekly card. Read the theme, lesson, skills, and activity. 2. Preview only what is unfamiliar. Watch the demonstrations you need to teach safely and clearly. 3. Choose the class focus. Select two or three skills that support the dancers’ most important need that week. 4. Save the tools. Favorite, queue, or download relevant videos when those options are available. 5. Visualize the flow. Mentally rehearse the warm-up, skill section, activity, and wrap-up. Example time budget • Minute 1: Read the card. • Minutes 2–5: Preview unfamiliar material. • Minute 6: Choose the skills. • Minutes 7–8: Save the videos and resources. • Minutes 9–10: Walk through the class flow. This is a planning target, not a rule. Take more time when a movement is new to you, safety needs additional preparation, or you are adapting for a specific group. Avoid these common problems • Watching every video before deciding what the class needs • Treating the card as a checklist • Adding advanced material before dancers have the related foundations • Depending on live streaming when studio internet is unreliable Preparation creates confidence. It does not require perfection or memorizing every item.
